TOEFL is Administered by the Educational Testing Service(ETS) – a US-based non-profit organization; recognized by more than 9,000 participating institutes and organisations across 130 countries, including Australia, Canada, the UK and the United States. TOEFL Test result is primarily used to fulfil visa requirements in some countries.
The test is usually held on Saturdays and Sundays. The test score is valid up to 2 years. Aspirants across the globe can even apply for TOEFL scholarships if they desire to avail financial aid.

TOEFL Is Divided In Four Different Modules Which Consists Of The Following
LISTENING
In this section, You will have to write essay responses based on reading and listening tasks. You will also have to support an opinion in writing. You should be well informed in-order to crack this section as knowledge on styles of essays and writing techniques play a vital role.
READING
This section involves reading 3 or 4 passages from academic texts and answering questions. You can prepare for this part by practicing reading passages from books or papers. The passages in the test can be from anywhere. In this section, only reading ability of the candidate will be checked.
SPEAKING
In this section, you will have to express an opinion on a familiar topic, you will have to speak based on the reading and listening tasks. The candidate's understanding ability will be tested here. Basically, you must explain what you have read (an elaborated explanation is given in exam pattern page).
WRITING

TOEFL Exam Details
iBT (Internet Based Test)
For the iBT, you will answer several questions in Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. The iBT is longer, clocking in at around 200 to 250 minutes (including one 10-minute break).
PBT (Paper Based Test):
The For the PBT, you will do Listening, Structure and Written Expression, Reading Comprehension and Writing. The PBT is much shorter running 140 to 150 minutes in overall length
The TOEFL Test is now largely an iBT, though the paper-based may still be available in some areas.
